Hope

On a hike in November of 2003, I came upon a large sign that read "HOPE"
on the side of a plateau in Desert Aire, Washington. The sign was built and
installed by a Mr. Wayne Sahli. I was very fascinated by this sign so I hiked
up to it and investigated further. I ended up resting near the sign for a
few hours and before I knew it the sun was setting. As the sun set, the sign
cast the shadow of HOPE across the horizon and I was deeply moved by the silent
beauty of this experience. I took a few pictures and this began my recent
project: an exploration of HOPE.
