Emotional Landscape

Interactive Artwork
2020

Students, staff, and faculty at Penn State Beaver collaborated with artist John Peña to create a work of temporary public art on campus. The interactive artwork titled “Emotional Landscape” includes colorful discs representing a specific mood. Participants are invited to place a color onto the installation that represents how they’re feeling at that moment. As the color field constantly changes, we can visualize the previously invisible internal lives of the campus community.

This project was part of Penn State Main’s Campus Artist Initiative.
